With tank sizes ranging from 400 to 1000 litres (88 to 220 gallons) our small-to-medium, UK manufactured above ground tanks can be used in a wide range of applications. They are manufactured using a UV-stabilised and WRAS-approved* medium density polyethylene (MDPE) plastic material. All tanks are fitted with a removable lid.
A 1½" threaded outlet is supplied as standard (not fitted) so that you can decide if/where to use it, once the tank is in position. Other diameter fittings are available, of course. These tanks are supplied in a black finish as standard: other colours are available including natural, dark green and blue.
These tanks are suitable for potable water and are also used for rainwater harvesting, storing non-potable water, or collecting grey water, toilet waste and slurry. Typical applications are glamping huts, construction site accommodation and event industry units such as toilets, showers and catering stands. Baffled tanks will be suitable for vehicle-mounting - i.e. for the transportation of liquids e.g. for watering / spraying purposes.*WRAS stands for the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme.

NOTES:
Standard stock colour is black. Other available colours include natural, blue or bottle green (latter two colours subject to a 10% price uplift)
[1] Do not lift with liquid contents on board.
[2] Please note: tank sizes quoted are subject to a +/-3% variation.
[3] Standard outlet fitting provided is 1½". The outlet is not fitted, so that you have the flexibility to position it where required, or not use it.
Other outlet sizes are available: 1" or 2" being the most popular. Outlet fittings allow you to connect to other equipment or to drain the tanks.
Drain valves and linking pipes are also available, the latter to link tanks together.
[4] The dry weight is the non-packaged weight of the basic tank. Tanks will be palletised for shipment with a pallet distributor, not a parcel service.
In use, each 1 litre of liquid equates to 1 KG in weight.
[5] WRAS-approved tanks will come supplied with non-vented lid and a Byelaw 30 Breather Kit (for England & Wales).
Scottish customers will require a Byelaw 60 Breather Kit.
[6] PS-17131201 is supplied with 2 lids.
[7] Tanks with baffles will be suitable for truck-mounting - i.e. for the transportation of liquids e.g. for watering / spraying purposes.
Our plastic, above ground effluent tanks will be suitable for some glamping applications and sites, but not all, we accept that. Our flat, slide under, low environmental impact tanks will be perfect for a range of applications where:
Our robust, plastic effluent tanks solve many issues when capturing liquid waste: they are an excellent off grid solution.
The oldest tanks we have supplied date back to 2010 and are still going strong. The product is rotationally moulded as a one-piece construction from UV-stabilised medium density polyethylene (MDPE) in a ribbed design for added strength. MDPE is particularly suitable for this application as it copes with temperature fluctuations, absorbs knocks, does not absorb smell from the (waste) contents and is easily cleaned. Repairs are rarely needed, but in the unfortunate event of damage, most repairs are readily carried out with a plastic welding tool, similar to a soldering iron.
We supply a range of products ideal for large plastic or effluent tanks.
For a different solution, we also supply a breather kit which creates a flue effect and pulls air from the tank at a 3m height.
Holiday parks specifically purpose-designed and/or glamping sites near to a mains sewer will readily be able to connect up to the waste outlets from glamping units. Septic tanks can be installed as an alternative solution but you will need to consult and apply for planning permission and be ready for groundworks, soakaway to a drain field (for which a “percolation test will be required) and ongoing maintenance charges.
We hope to keep you informed of any interesting news and new developments within Glampsan.
With the coronavirus threat being 'very high' in the UK, we stock anti-bacterial hand sanitiser to prevent you catching and spreading it.
In 2020, it seems that back to basics - type off-grid glamping is very popular. So what options are there to deal with effluent waste?
