At Plastic Solutions, we have been closely following the news associated with the Coronavirus outbreak (AKA COVID-19). According to the BBC News, at the time of writing (2nd March 2020), Public Health England (PHE) has stated that: 'Widespread transmission of coronavirus in the UK is now "HIGHLY LIKELY."' The prime minister, Boris Johnson, will chair the Government's emergency Cobra committee following the number of UK coronavirus cases having now jumped to 36 - and the country must now prepare. COVID-19 has already claimed 3,000 lives (far more than SARS-CoV-2 did - a previous flu epidemic that had Chinese origins) so, this is serious now folks. Experts believe that the virus will undoubtedly present a "significant challenge" to the UK. Despite the Government stating that the preparedness of our NHS, it is essential that we all follow guidelines to keep safe and healthy.
